Grab a soft fabric tape measure. Stand naturally, feet together. Measure over underwear or a single lightweight layer for the most accurate results.
The Three Measurements That Matter
Place the tape close under the armhole at the fullest part of your bust. Measure from side seam, around and back to the same side seam.
Keep the tape parallel to the floor — snug but not tight.
Measure at the narrowest point — usually 2–3 cm above your belly button. Place the tape from side seam, around and back.
Exhale naturally before taking the measurement.
Place the tape approximately 20 cm below your natural waistline at the fullest part of your hips. Measure all the way around.
Stand with feet together for the most accurate result.

It is an oversized fit. I am usually a size 12, went for an XS and it is still oversized but I like the look of it. It works well as a work dress as well.

The Avalon Maxi is such an easy throw-on-and-go piece, and still looks put together. The fabric feels amazing and high quality, and sizing down was definitely the right call....and still allows for an oversized fit. Absolutely in LOVE!
Great Avalon Maxi, but disappointed to find it was unlined! In this gorgeous autumn winter hue I was expecting it to be lined like most of my other Avalons! The fabric is quite thin too and a bit scratchy, hopefully it softens and plumps up after washing.
This is now the second Avalon maxi I own and I love them! So comfy, great for winter and those cooler days. Look great with boots or sneakers for a bit more of a casual look.
